Reul commune, Puok district Siem Reap Angkor про This pump well is donated by Mrs. Elke BOERNER and her family from Germany through Clean Water & Education Project CWE Project, for the families in Sambuo village, Reul commune, Puok district, Siem Reap province, Kingdom of Cambodia.

Sambuo village is the one poorest village in Reul commune wich consist 315 families in the area. In the village there is 80% are poor and they live on the hard life in the dry region. Every year, during the dry season everywhere always dries up which cause them facing the lacking of water supply. To survive their life, they have found the way to dig a well in the depth of 2 meters deep in order to get the water to drink. With this deep the water is not clean, it seems the muddy water, but they can drink without boiling. This was is not a good idea, they can get sick.

In the rainy season, everywhere with flooding. The flooding runs into their houses and covers the wells they dug, so they change their ways to drink the rain water or the flooding water. This is still not a good way for the health. But now, some of the families that our CWE Project reached to the target to support them with the clean water supply from the pump wells, they have clean water to drink healthily.

This is because of our generous donors and especially Mrs. Elke BOERNER and her entire family support the CWE Project to help the poor people in this region with the clean water. The beneficiaries would be very happy with the clean water, especially, the children have rights to access the clean water as they were enjoying drinking, bathing and hopefully their skin would become whiter as before they had a bath with the muddy water.

The well is built on the property of a family but sharing the water with the families around the wells or the anyone in the village or outside can be access as well. It is not serve as private but it is a public property which is the generous donations from the donors. The families can plant some crops nearby the well and around their house would become green because they have water in every season. As we believe that "The water is the source of life". We drink clean water we get better health. We have water we have green.

By the way, on the behalf of a Director for CWE Project and the teams of CWE Project, we are really appreciate to your generous support the CWE Project to help the poor people as they are disable or less fortunate in the rural area and have no money for the construction of the wells to get the clean water. We are the teams of CWE Project and all the beneficiaries with the chiefs of the region, please perform from our heartfelt in thanking you very much for your generous support the CWE Project.
